How to play
- Keep the Coffee, Tea, and Water example, or enter two to eight distinct labels.
- Set each target weight to a whole number from 1 to 100 and press Apply choices.
- Press Drop ball and wait for the result. The same bucket can appear again. Use Enter or Space on the button for keyboard play.
Example: choose a drink
With Coffee, Tea, and Water at weight 1, each has one third of the initial target-selection probability. Setting Coffee to 2 and leaving the others at 1 gives Coffee half of the initial target weight. Press Apply choices before the next drop.
How outcomes work
The browser first selects a target bucket with JavaScript’s Math.random and your relative weights. The animation then guides the ball toward that target while resolving collisions. The reported result is the bucket where the ball actually settles, which can differ from the selected target.
Target weights describe the initial selection, not a measured guarantee of final bucket frequencies. This is a guided animation rather than an unbiased physical pegboard experiment. Do not infer binomial landing odds, equal final-bin probabilities, or gambling payouts from this board.
This page supports one ball at a time, eight peg rows, and up to eight choices. It has no wagers, cash prizes, or certified draw mechanism. Applying choices clears recent results; refreshing resets the page.
